super star 5: fun facts friday

[taken at Christmas, as you can probably tell from the aftermath of opening new toys behind me]
i love learning random facts about people.
i love hearing/reading new things about people that you normally wouldn't know unless you've known them forever. and even then maybe you wouldn't know certain things.
[this is why i pretty much Wikipedia/IMDB everything and everyone to learn all the interesting trivia.]

it's fun to find out what someone is like when they aren't trying to put on their best "nice to meet you" face or learn interesting things about how they grew up.
even though i sometimes hate trying to come up with my own about me's {because i can never think of anything}, i like hearing everyone else's and getting to know people better.

[this is kind of a take from the Instagram game that has been going around. i loved reading everyone's little facts!] [and that link is to my first 5 facts that i shared which are completely embarrassing :)]

sooooo, the point i'm getting at is this:
i want to hear your fun facts!!

i'll share 5 random tidbits about me first and then would love to have anyone who would like to participate leave a comment with your 5 fun facts or even write a blog post and share the link.
i think it would be so fun for us all to get to know each other better and maybe share a few laughs {or tears or even shocking gasps} together.
and if it seems like a hit, we can make it a weekly thing?

what say ye?
i'm excited!

so let's get started.

here are my Super Star 5 Fun Facts!
(p.s. in one of my classes in college my teacher had a list of names people gave their children. Super Star 5 was one of the names on the list. i thought it was amazingly hilarious and have loved it ever since.]

1. i was voted "Everyone's Best Friend" in high school. i was totally embarrassed about it and thought it was so lame. i couldn't have gotten best dressed or most likely to be famous?? but now i think of it as a major compliment and think it's pretty awesome. especially since i only went to that high school for 1.5 years.

2. i wish i could be everything and do anything. if i could i would go to school for multiple careers including business, cosmetology, culinary, law, writing, art, photography, medicine, teaching, and more. i also have lots of different business ideas i dream of pursing {but probably never will}.

3. a few weeks after Elijah was born i called my mom sobbing because i was afraid he had my nose. i was absolutely physically distraught by it. that was one of my biggest fears about reproducing. and also i was chalk full of raging post-partum hormones at the time.

4. i play[ed] violin, harp, piano, softball, track, and was in diving and also sing. I have given up almost all of them {except piano & singing kind of} because i'm lazy. i regret it all the time

5. when i was 7 i wanted to be a cheerleader more than anything. i thought it was my destiny. then i realized i could never do any gymnastic tricks and my dream was crushed like a bug.

now, what are 5 random facts about you??
share them below in the comments or on your blog!
[if you write a blog post be sure to leave the link in the comments so we can come visit.]

have a Super Star day!

Are we supposed to share them on the blog? Can I just share them here? I will try to share them on my blog soon.

1- I never dreamed of being married or of being a mom. I dreamed of serving a mission and being a nurse. A mom is a lot like being a nurse with no days off

2- My mom was on suicide watch for all of my highschool years. It was hard but I wouldn't change a thing. I love and adore her and learned so much from her!

3 - Girls use to terrify me!! And sometimes they still do

4- I am the man in my house. I fix things and my husbands favorite movie is the six hour version of Pride and Predjudice. He is the one that introduced me to it. He's also read almost all of Jane Austins works. I still have read none

5 - My front four teeth are fake

Here are five random things about me:

Super coolio idea! I can't wait to see this as a weekly thing. It would be great.

1. I am just like you on the whole "facts about me give me anxiety". I feel like no one will want to know and that all my facts will be totally lame-o.
2. I also want to do everything and anything. I think it would be cool to get like 7 degrees and have like 4 different business. And although that is possible, it's not without money... dang. ;(
3. I will be learning to drive a stick shift truck soon and I sercetly think I am going to be better then James (the who one will teach me). I totally think that but I have other ideas how it will go too.
4. I am going back to college after a year off and I am not sure if I am excited or not. I want to get a degree but I don't want to go to boring classes. Sigh.
5. I am a huge gamer! I don't talk about it on my blog much but I am always playing something. Usually a fb games but once I get a desktop (im on a normal laptop) I will be hardcore playing. haha.

I also have a thing for sevens. (I was born 7/17 and 7 weeks early, am the 7th child, graduated in 2007, etc.)
I wanted to get tagged on that Instagram game so bad, but no one ever tagged me. Lame? Yes? I'm okay with that. So I'll just share my facts on here.

1. I'm from a big family and never was alone much as a kid. I remember when I was little being so afraid of being alone that I cried when I had to take the trash out, not because I didn't want to do it but because I didn't want to go by myself.
2. Since before I can remember, I wanted to be an OB/GYN. I've always been fascinated by pregnancy, childbirth, and babies. Then at BYU I almost went into nursing, hoping to be a L&D nurse; I took most of the program prereq's before I changed my mind. I loved majoring in English, but part of me wants to go back to school one day to become a nurse.
Or I want to work for the Church magazines, either one.
3. I can't eat gluten. I'm fine with it, but I feel bad when people apologize for offering me treats I can't have. Thankfully, ice cream is a dessert I can and do eat! A lot!
4. The year or so after my first daughter was born was the hardest time of my life. Thankfully, now I know it was because I have terrible emotional and hormonal side effects from the mini pill. Greatest realization ever!
5. I graduated from high school a month and a half before I turned 17.

I'll have to do a blog post too. Add it to my blog catch up list since Charlotte was born...

I also love hearing fun facts!! We're starting up the Me Myself & I link up again this month - so I'm excited to share and answer random questions again :) I would have never thought you felt that way about your nose!! I always thought you were beautiful! I wish I was as multi-talented as you, dang girl!

Kassi said...

Wait a minute! What's wrong with your nose!?! Craziness! ;)

1. One of the things I'm most excited about when becoming a mom is doing the holidays all fun like my mom did for us!

2. I rode one of our horses yesterday at 21 weeks preggo... I know they say not to, but our horses are so gentle that as long as I can successfully get on, I'll keep riding. ;)

3. I've ridden horses my entire life. There was a spurt there during my childhood that all I wanted to be was a rodeo queen... haha

4. I raised rabbits, chickens, lambs and pigs for my years in 4-H. I'm excited to share those experiences with my nieces/nephews and eventually children.

5. Sometimes I really wish I lived in a more urban area, but when I think about it (and just looking at my facts shared so far) I know that I could never really love it there.
