{classic} floral & stripes

[dress: c/o eShakti // shoes: Kohl's]

My favorite pattern combination by far is floral & stripes.
In my eclectic opinion it's just classic.

So when I saw this dress from eShakti I was all over it!
Not only is it my favorite print,
and favorite colors,
but it's easily one of the comfiest dresses I own.

And these shoes are just amazing and I try to pair them with anything and everything I can think of.
When I wore this to church, one of the male leaders in the ward kept asking,
"How are you standing???"
And I just threw my head back and laughed and said,
"Oh easily!!"
Then tripped on the way to class.

Then all the Young Women wanted to try them.
And I guess that helped solidify my new reputation of,
"Sister Robinson has the craziest style."

So... I'm feeling pretty good about all that. :)

tulle & ruffles

[skirt: c/o eShakti  (similar here)// shirt: Ann Taylor found at a thrift store // shoes: Target // belt: vintage // earrings: gift]

I ordered this skirt before I found out I was pregnant and then once it came I was too sick to want to wear anything let alone something tight around my waist.
And then when I was finally feeling somewhat better my stomach was too big to fit into it anymore.
So basically I've been waiting over 1 year and a half to break out this baby and now I can't stop!

Favorite. Skirt. Ever!

I told Adam it's like wearing my wedding dress every Sunday and I love love love it!

And I think by dressing it down a bit with the ruffled top
{are they considered ruffles??}
and the leopard pumps helps make it a little more casual than, say, an actual wedding dress so I can actually get away with wearing it often.

Plus I love this whole combination mixing textures and patterns together.
They each can make bold statements on their own but can be paired together nicely as well.

But the question is:
Can I be confident enough to wear such a fluffy skirt to the grocery store??
Only one way to find out.

Happy Tuesday!

dots & stripes forever

skirt: eShakti, similar here // top: thrifted // shoes: thrifted

I knew when I got this skirt it was going to be awesome.
I love the high-waist, the full skirt, and of course the pockets
And I knew that it would be a fun mix & match piece since that's pretty much what I'm all about nowadays.

Also thrifting.
Have I talked about how much I love thrifting??
I feel like I need to say it again.
Thrifing is awweeesssommmee!!
Do it. Your wardrobe will be happy. :)

glimmer + glamour

dress: c/o eShakti  // half-tee undershirt: Downeast // shoes: Kohl's while ago, similar here

I was really excited to try out this dress from eShakti and thought it would be perfect for the coming holiday season. {Not that I have many holiday parties to attend but you never know ;)}
I love the color and silhouette of the dress plus the glittery sleeves.
Cause if you know me, you know I love all things sparkly!

I LOVE eShakti and have quite a few items in my closet from their shop.
I love that their clothes are completely customizable to my size plus I can add different design touches like sleeves, length, neckline, etc.
How many shops really give you that option??

[Though I think our sizes for "chest" don't quite match up cause even though I give them my measurements the items still seem too big for me... or my body is just way awkward which is more plausible. Adam just laughs. I kind of cry.]

Besides my obvious body flaws, my clothes from eShakti really are some of my favorite items in my closet. I love their unique designs and retro feel. Plus they are great quality and definitely made to last.

If you haven't ordered from eShakti yet and always wanted to try them out now is your chance!
You can get $30 off your first order with the code ROBINS77ZF.
The discount expires on November 30th so better hurry!
(PLUS eShakti is having a 25% off sale right now. So that combined with the $30 off equals BIIIG savings :))

Also, tip when ordering from eShakti:
if you see a dress you like GET IT!
They always go fast and you never know if they will be in stock again.
Seriously. I've lost many a dress to this problem
[I'm not a quick decision maker.]

Happy shopping and happy Wednesday!
 :)

birthday suit

dress: eShakti + added sleeves, won in a giveaway  // shoes: $6, thrifted // belt: part of another skirt from Target

i'm a firm believer that you should always get at least one fabulous outfit just for your birthday.
ever since i was little i got a new dress or favorite outfit to wear on my special day.
and i'm all about traditions, so why stop at 25??

this dress is just amazing. serious.
it is by far the best outfit choice of all my 25 birthdays.

it's still weird to even think that i'm 25 now.
but as long as i have great clothes surrounding me {and family of course ;)}, i think this will be a pretty good year. :)

[and yes, i'm still celebrating even though it was a week ago. birthday month is a real thing.]

eShakti lovin'

dress: c/o eShakti [similar here], shoes: DSW {my wedding shoes :)}, belt: thrifted, earrings: c/o Violet Hill Boutique

Adam told me when he saw this dress that it was "just so you."
aw sweet, right?
i'm glad he's kind of starting to get on board with my fashion sense :)

i received this dress from eShakti and, seriously, could it be more perfect??
{well... i could have a more mature upper body that fits it better but that's a different story}
but honestly, i love it!

i feel like a cute, hot, flirty little 50's housewife and feel like i should make a 5 course meal in it and clean the whole house in my special concoction of cleaning supplies before Adam comes home.
of course i would never do any of those things ever in my life...
but, you know, this dress makes it at least feel possible.

i love how simple it is and yet it has just the right touch of gorgeous details like the tie around the neck and the eyelet embroidery on the bottom.
i think it's perfect to dress up and have fun with all year round.

eShakti is a great website to get super cute dresses that can be specially customized to fit your size and needs. this dress that i got originally was sleeveless but i was able to add a sleeves on it instead.
you can also change hem length and neckline on most dresses.
[you can even remove pockets or embellishments. true customization]
i love that feature! it's so easy now to find cute dresses and not worry about them being immodest.

eShakti has the perfect dress for everyone!
and really, perfect because it is made just for you.

one tip about eShakti:
if you find a dress you love, GET IT!
their dresses go fast and what might be there today could be gone tomorrow.
i learned that the hard way.
i still love my dress but all my other choices were gone within a couple of days.
so don't wait too long to get a dress you like. or else it could be too late.
{that's how awesome their dresses are!}

you can get 20% off of their dresses from now until April 30th with the code
MEGNCMLLE
enter the code into the "Privilege Discount" box. also, if you sign up for an account for the first time you get a $25 off code which can be combined with the 20% off code above.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

made just for me {with love}

a little while ago i posted this picture** on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and asked people to vote on which dress from eShakti was their favorite.

dress decision

it was a close tie between #1 and #3.
but after counting how many blue dresses i already own {5!! favorite color i guess} i decided to try and step out of my comfort zone a little bit and ended up going with #3**.

and oh boy i’m SO SO glad i did!

eshakti review 2
dress: c/o eShakti, necklace: c/o Rhi’s Designs, shoes: Kohl’s

i wore it on Sunday and i felt so pretty and summery!
it definitely is a lot different {in color & texture} than anything else in my wardrobe and that is what i love about it! and i love that it is so effortlessly stylish so i can focus on chasing Elijah through the church corridors instead.

this dress was definitely {quite literally} made just for me!
the great thing about eShakti is that all their products are perfectly customizable to you including sleeve type, length, and neckline. you can choose from their premade settings or send them your exact measurements so they can make the clothes fit just right.

eshakti review 4

and you know what was the icing on the pretty, orange, ruffly cake??
POCKETS!!

eshakti review

finding pockets in a dress is one of the best things in the world!
next to freshly cleaned teeth, sno cones after swimming, & your husband cleaning the bathroom.
the only thing that would’ve made it better is if i found a $20 bill in the pocket.
{wait, why did i just settle for $20? my dreams are so sad}

eShakti is also having some great deals going on right now!
they are having a 40% off sale AND you can save $20 for first time customers!
and if that wasn’t good enough, they have also given {here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson} readers an extra 10% off your order when you use the code: MR26GAN
[code is not case sensitive and is good until July 31st]

you can check out eShakti on their website
or follow them on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest

** unfortunately i can only find number 4 and 5 online so the rest must’ve sold out. however i tried to find some other eShakti items that are similar if you like the above items:
:: this dress is similar in texture to #2
:: this top has the same cascade ruffle as #3 and #4. you can also find it in different colors
:: this top is made with the same fabric/pattern as #3
:: i can’t find anything for #1… sorry
