laughter {in marriage} is the best medicine

i agree with this quote whole-heartedly.
and if someone can make me laugh, like really laugh, i automatically think of them as my new best friend.

this week i realized how even more important laughing is in a relationship.
some of the times that i feel closest to Adam is not when i'm crying & he's trying to comfort me
{which actually sometimes turns into a disaster cause the poor guy.... i'm make it hard for him, ha}
but are the times where we are both laughing really ridiculously hard together.

i feel freer,
i feel more like myself,
i feel silly & crazy & totally in love

after stressful days or even after frustrating disagreements,
if we can get a really good laugh in then everything feels right in the world
[even though the next day still ends up being crazy... it's alright for at least a few hours :)]

make sure you laugh hard with your husband!
let him in on inside jokes,
be goofy,
have a sense of humor with each other's quirks {and flaws},
just have fun

i'm so grateful that i'm married to a guy that knows how to make me laugh.
and laughs along with me over stupid, silly stuff.
because really it just makes anything hard in life a little easier
and gives hope when you feel hope is lost.

I completely agree! Some of my favorite moments with my husband are the silliest things that we laugh over.

This is so so so true!! I'm so lucky I married a guy who can make me laugh when I don't even feel like smiling!

Thank you for posting this today - definitely needed reminding as I am feeling super duper stressed!

I couldn't agree more! At the top of my list for qualities I was looking for in a husband was " makes me laugh." I don't think I realized how important it was at the time, but I really think laughing together and being silly is one of the best things you can do for your relationship. Love this!

I agree 100%. whats the point of this life if you're not laughing and having fun, especially if you're going to be with your husband for eternity!

I l-o-v-e the picture of you guys laughing. And I like this post. Sometimes it's easy to date guys who are just "nice guys" but the relationship totally lacks that X factor....the ease of best friendship and random laughter and giggling during church when you probably shouldn't. It's easy to start feeling like maybe that's not so important, but then I always meet a guy who DOES make me laugh like that and I'm like OH YES, THIS.
