I love to cook huge meals, but let's face it: I am usually biting more than I can chew, {no pun intended} and find myself crazy busy and wishing I had the energy and time to cook lavish dinners.
The recipe I'm about to disclose is quick, easy, fast, and hella hard to mess up. This recipe originated way back in the day when I was still in middle school? {wow!} My favorite part is that you can adapt this recipe to fit your mood...Hoorah!!
I find it perfect for those days when you just don't have time to cook, or maybe you just need a quick fix to get you going until dinner time? Oh, and have I mentioned this pizza recipe is perfection when made as a late night snack?
Any happy faces out there yet?
So without further ado.....
*Tortilla Wraps. These particular ones are spinach and herb.
*Genoa Salami
*Shredded Mozarella Cheese
*Marinara Sauce Or Pasta Sauce
*Garlic {only one clove}
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. This is the hottest you want your oven to be though, remember that tortilla wrap isn't very thick, so it will burn if you set the oven too high.
I like to start the oven at 325 and increase the temperature to 350 degrees within the first 10 minutes. It helps warm up all the ingredients and get it to that bubbling point.
Step Two
Time to cut up your ingredients. The ingredients we chose are very basic, so all I have to do is cut the pepperoni and mince the garlic.
This is the part where you make this recipe your own by adding any ingredients you love. We love to add spinach, onions, and mushrooms. You can add as much or as little as you want, just make sure your ingredients aren't too heavy for the wrap to hold.
Step Three
Now it's time to put it all together. Start by putting your tortilla wraps on a flat surface. Our favorite wraps to use are spinach and herb, but this recipe is also great with regular flour tortillas.
Grab your tortilla wraps and spread the cheese around. I like to start with the cheese because it keeps the pasta sauce from making the wrap soggy.
Now, add the pepperoni....
...... Sauce.......
Garlic.......
Don't forget the pepper now!!
Step Four
Time to put them in the oven.
We love crispy crusts, so our pizzas go directly on the top rack. An easy tip for clean up is to put a sheet of foil in the lower rack to catch any ingredients that might fall off.
Now leave them in there for about 10 minutes at 325 degrees, and increase to 350 degrees for the next 10 minutes. These pizzas usually take about 20 minutes total.
If you just don't want to deal with changing temps, then just set them to 325 degrees...it will take a bit longer though.
I like to leave them in there until I can see the ingredients bubbling.
Step Five
Bring 'em out, cut them up, and get ready to devour them. Enjoy!!
And four and a half minutes later........
Thanks for having me over Megan!
