more polka dots & October goals

blouse: Forever 21 long time ago, gift // pants: Nordstrom Rack, clearance // belt: hand-me-down from friend // shoes: Blowfish, won in giveaway [similar on clearance now!] // earrings: gift

i took these pictures a while ago but kind of hated them and thought i looked weird. and it looked like i had on mom jeans. but then i just posted it anyways cause i thought might as well...

------------

i try to make goals each month to keep me motivated and feel like i'm progressing toward... something. i usually just write them in my little planner but then i sometimes forget to look back at it.

so, to keep me accountable i wanted to share my goals on here as well.
and also so when my planner is old and lost, i can remember when i actually tried to do something.
haaaa ha. :)

:: finish 3 Personal Progress experiences

:: read 3 books including finishing The Hobbit
:: try new recipes for dinner + stick to a menu each week

:: finish one of my craft projects that are piling up...
:: start an exercise routine / start doing yoga again
:: start the 90-day Book of Mormon challenge {and stick with it}
these are all pretty basic things and kind of lame.
but they all things that i have realized i've really slacked on these last couple of months.
i am trying to be better, feel better, and do better around me and i know in order to do so it starts with me.
i need to make the improvements, whether big or small, in my life that help me get more out of life and feel like i'm doing something worthwhile.
it's not going to do that on its own.

so here's me, trying to be my best.
one little yoga stretch and new recipe at a time!

do you make monthly goals?
what are some goals you want to make?
i always love hearing about what others are working toward and getting some ideas. :)

There's no WAY that those are Mom Jeans! You look great. I use Blogilates every day and finally got rid of those lingering post-baby pounds :)

Ok, first - I don't what you're talking about with those jeans...they don't look like mom jeans to me! You look GREAT and I just love the whole outfit :)

Also, I have been trying to make goals for each new year, but I'm not very good at keeping on task, haha! The exercise thing gets me every time...watching TV on the couch is just so much more relaxing :)

I love the outfit ( and the shoes, I love shoes). Truly was hard for me to focus on your actual post as I was so fascinated with the shoes and colours.

I'm a HUGE fan of polka dots! Those pants are fabulous :) They definitely are not mom jeans. And way to go and make some awesome goals for yourself. I love it.

You always put together the cutest outfit!
I still write my goals down in my planner too....and then forget about it also. This is a good idea to put them on the blog...gives you that extra reminder. I totally get it, I've been slacking on so many of my goals lately too. Thanks so much for sharing your style:)

Are you kidding me? Those aren't lame goals!! All of those (6) goals are in addition to keeping an energy-sucking 3-year old alive and maintaining the house. If I do those two things, PLUS get my scripture study in, I call it an awesome day!

PS - the outfit is awesome and those are definitely not mom jeans!
