My favorite tradition is actually kinda new: The Annual Grandkids Christmas Eve Party at my parents house. My girls and all their cousins get to decorate cookies, open gifts, and go caroling. It's awesome!

Our new advent calendar will hopefully be a long lasting tradition. It has a different activity for all of the days leading up to Christmas!

We do this thing called "The Shoe Elf". You put your shoe out everyday from December 1-24th and there's a piece of candy or some little trinket in it in the morning ;) It's something fun to help countdown to Christmas!!

Reading the story of Christ coming to the Nephites on Christmas eve. I love the idea that Christmas happened in the Americas as well!

My favorite traditions are the new ones I have been starting with my little family. Like Elf on The Shelf, Lights of Christmas and a surprise box from the north pole on Christmas Eve. :)

I love listening to almost nothing but Christmas music for a month straight! (Then it's time to put the holiday music away for a year!)

picking all our favorite foods to have on Christmas Eve before we open presents! Its not a real sit down dinner, we have shrimp cocktail, pigs in blankets, veggies, veggie pizza, a few desserts! whatever we all love and who cares whether or not they really "go together"!
