the next Phil Mickelson {cause Tiger Woods is a bad role model}

Last month we signed Elijah up for a free Junior Golf League activity day where he got free golf lessons {that he ran away during}
and a set of golf clubs {that he has since taken apart/bent a million times}.

He was kind of a terrible golfer and was more distracted by the water pitcher but fun was had all the same
{except Adam was got a little tired chasing him after the 8th time...}

Adam was his golf caddy and they tried to dress similar for the best dressed contest
{that we missed because I got light-headed & sick and needed to leave. yay pregnancy!}
and seriously, I thought they totally killed it!
If we had stayed the last 15 minutes I'm pretty sure he would've won the prize.
But even then, I'm a proud mama to see these two cute guys out on the green together.

Already doing the dentist stuff I guess. :)

But come on, how cute is he?!?!
I sometimes get ridiculously prideful over how cute that little stinker is.
{not about his behavior though. I refuse to own up to that.}

pink doughnuts

"Elijah, you're going to have a baby sister!!"

[reaction

[cue tears

"But I want a boy!!!"

So we got pink doughnuts to celebrate [slash: ease the pain] the news that we are having a
BABY GIRL!!

Elijah then flipped the smile upside down.

Mainly cause I bribed him with sugar. ;)

We are so excited and in quite a bit of shock at the news!
I kind had a feeling, especially when I would hear other people make their guesses, but I was soooo off with Elijah {swore up and down he was a girl} that I just refused to get my hopes up.
So when the ultrasound tech told us I asked her if she was certain cause I couldn't really believe it, ha.

But we are truly so happy and can't wait to learn more about such a foreign area for us.
If she's crazy and energetic like her brother though I guess we will be pretty set in our range of knowledge. ;)

p.s. if you know of any cute shops for little girls clothes/accessories, please leave a link! I may have to give myself a budget cause I'm sure I'll go girl crazy. But I'd love to see your favorite items to add to my lists :)

Inspiration

Today we have the amazing opportunity & blessing to attend the Gilbert Arizona temple dedication. Last night was the Cultural Celebration put on by over 12,000 youth from the surrounding area and it has made me more excited & grateful for the blessing we have of a new temple.

And later this year we will be getting another temple dedicated that is just a few miles from us! We are truly blessed to see the work progressing so much in this area and it has been exciting to live here during these big changes.

This video is of the temple celebration and dedication in Manaus, Brazil. When I hear stories like this one, it reminds me of the importance of the temple in our faith & the covenants we make there. And it also reminds me to be even more grateful that we have a temple so close and don't have to travel days and by boat or bus to get to one. I know I take it for granted all the time.

I hope you watch this video and feel the special spirit that it brings as it testifies of the beauty & importance of the temple. I know the temple is the House of the Lord and inside we can make covenants with our Father in Heaven that will help us return to Him someday. I know that it is only through those covenants made inside the temple that I will be able to live with my family again after I die. This knowledge brings me so much peace & happiness! I love the temple and I hope everyone can soon receive the blessings inside of it.

If you have any questions about temples or anything about the LDS/Mormon church, please don't hesitate to ask! I would love to answer any and all questions you may have. :)
