For the Fourth of July (technically the 3rd of July), me and Adam went to the Tough Enough to Wear Pink themed rodeo with my sister and her family as well as her in-laws. This was pretty much the first rodeo me and Adam have ever been to so we were utterly and completely stoked.
And to make sure we really played the part, we went to the D.I. and found us some awesome boots. My boots were actually just cute and I'm excited to wear them in the winter. But Adam's were truly authentic. He even had some cowboy guy come up to him at the rodeo and tell him that if he needs touch ups on his leather to give him a call. Yeah, and we got them for $6. {steal!} We donned our plaid shirts, bandanas and cowboy hats and we blended right in. I thought we looked pretty awesome, right?
We were excited to see what really happens at a rodeo. Well, crazy stuff happens that's what!!!! I seriously am surprised no one died. How do you have the guts to do such things?!?! Incredible! The whole time was saying "Whoa!!" or "Holy Cow!!" All I could think of was the movie 8 Seconds and if the guys would make it. Well they did, so it's all O.K. Yeah, I was amazed!
My niece was supposed to be in the Mutton Bustin' portion but there were too many kids that signed up (even though a bunch chickened out... but that's neither here nor there.) But Mutton Bustin' was pretty hilarious and by far my favorite part of the night. Even those kids are brave, man. It was awesome.
It was a fun night and I'm glad we got to go. Thank you, Rhiannon for inviting us! I can't wait for next year. Jersey will kick butt in Mutton Bustin'!
And so will little Phoenix. (The little boy right below) Me and Adam always laugh at how small but how big Phoenix is. I can't wait to see him on those sheep!
